A lovely story by Dea.
My life in the lost Atlantis.
I used to live in Atlantis, when I was a child. Unfortunately, one day something terrible happened.
I was
walking along the road looking at the shops. It was a very beautiful, warm day, when
I heard a noise. When I turned my head I saw big waves coming at me. I ran fast
to my home. There was my mother and she took me from the hand. She told me ‘‘Don’t be afraid!'' I couldn't understand what was happening. All the
people around me were running. The waves were terrible. After that, an
earthquake began. The earth was shaking and the homes were being destroyed.
We ran away.
We couldn't find my brother and my father. Later, we went to
the port. My dad and my brother were waiting for us. They had found
a boat to take us away from the island. We went aboard and we left
quickly. I was very sad, afraid and confused. Suddenly, I saw the island sinking in the ocean from afar.
From that day on we have been
living in Crete, Greece. It’s beautiful here, but I‘ll never forget Atlantis.
